Others present included: Chief Clerk Dallatore; Melvin B. Bassi, Solicitor; Lou Lignelli, Director of Administration; Kathy Emery, Assistant County Solicitor/Personnel Director; Duane Kavka, Director of Human Services; Floyd Laubham, Planning Commission; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Jon Stevens, Observer - Reporter; Jim Jefferson, WJPA; Joe Smydo, Pittsburgh Press; and family members and friends of Commissioner Mascara. ELECTION OF OFFICERS Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Ford, nominating Frank R. Mascara as Chairman in accordance with Section 1622 of The County Code. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Belcastro - Yes; Mr. Ford - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. MEETING DATES AND TIMES Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Ford, that the meeting dates and times be held at the call of the Chairman and/or at the request of an elected official; when scheduled, the meetings will be held on Thursdays, immediately following meeting of Board of Commissioners. UNION AND NON -UNION HOURLY EMPLOYEES Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Ford, to ratify the Addendum to the Agreement with Service Employees International Union (SEIU) which establishes wages for calendar year 1992 as follows: 241 SALARY BOARD MINUTE BOOK WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Effective January 1, 1992, a $0.15 per hour increase. Additionally, effective July 1, 1992, a $0.20 per hour increase. Effective January 1, 1992, all employees in the positions of Nursing Aide and Physical Therapy Aide (Pay Grade 2) shall be moved one step increment from their current step within Pay Grade 2. Effective January 1, 1992, the base rate for RN's shall be increased $0.75 per hour, inclusive of the rate increases set forth above, to $13.05 per hour. Elected officials present included: Judge Gladden; District Attorney Pettit; Sheriff Fazzoni; Olga Woodward, Recorder of Deeds; Barb Gibbs, Clerk of Courts; Colleen Murphy Arnowitz, Prothonotary; and Kathleen Flynn Reda, Register of Wills. (Coroner Warco later entered the meeting.) Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Ford, that the salaries listed on the respective departmental salary schedules reflect the negotiated wage increases for SEIU union and non -union hourly employees ($0.15 per hour increase effective January 1, 1992 through June 30, 1992, and $0.20 per hour increase effective July 1, 1992 through December 31, 1992) and an increase for salaried employees of 5% or $1,000.00, whichever is higher, or as otherwise set forth on the salary schedule; these increases are effective January 1, 1992, unless otherwise noted; and due to 242 MINUTE BOOK SALARY BOARD WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA penaing negotiations, the salaries of union and- non-un i on our y emp oyees o e remaining bargaining units, consisting of PSSU (CYS), Washington Court Association of Professional Employees (WCAPE - Probation Officers) and the Prison Guards Wage and Policy Unit remain at the 1991 salaries. Remarks: It was the consensus of the Board members that any procedural errors in the salary schedules may be corrected administratively by the Personnel Office.
