COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 48-S Office of County Commissioners Washington, Pa., February 24, 1983 The Washington County Salary Board met in session on Thursday, February 24, 1983, at approximately 10:20 a.m. in the Public Meeting Room of the Court- house Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara and Gilmore and Controller Beharry. Absent being: Commissioner Paluso who was ill. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dalla- tore; Personnel Director Margaret Pennline; Administrative Assistants Davis and DuJordan; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Mary Hemington and Martha McCleery of The League of Women Voters; and Lucy Rea, interested citizen. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute No. 47-S, each member having re- ceived a copy. Moved by Miss Beharry, seconded by Mr. Gilmore, that Minute No. 47-S be approved as read. Roll call vote taken: Miss Beharry - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously. Motion carried unanimously. 0-006 - JUVENILE COURT The matter of an adjustment for Darlene Nicholas, Court Reporter, according to the Court Reporter Salary schedule at the 5th year anniversary was discussed. Mr. Gilmore suggested that Mrs. Penn - line make arrangements for a member of the Court to attend the next Salary Board meeting to discuss this matter. Motion carried unanimously. J060 - JUVENILE PROBATION(&.� / Controller Beharry brought up the matter of payment of stand-by time for the Juvenile Probation staff. The Commissioners made reference to their memo of 2-11-83 directed to Controller Beharry which stated the procedure for calcula- ting stand-by time. Miss Beharry stated that she will not approve payment of stand-by time until she sees a signed agreement with the Union covering such payments. LIQUID FUELS/PROPERTY & SUPPLIES Controller Beharry requested that the two Watchman positions (John Dolan and Eddie Washington) presently being paid out of Liquid Fuels be transferred to the Property & Supplies Department (A029) and that her office will charge 20% of those wages back to Liquid Fuels. Controller Beharry noted that this action has been recommended by the Auditor General's Office. Moved by Miss Beharry, seconded by Mr. Gilmore, approving the transfer of the two Watchman positions presently being paid out of Liquid Fuels to he Pro- perty & Supplies Department (A029) as per above. C Roll call vote taken: Miss Beharry - Yes; Mr. Gilmore - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Motion carried unanimously.
