Miss Beharry brought up the matter of a request from Anne Brumfield of SEIU, Local 585, that the County pay upfront all six County employees who are involved in union contract negotiations for any time lost at work due to negotiations and ,that the Union would reimburse the County for the three employees that the Union agreed to pay. Miss Beharry noted that the Union's concern was that if the Con- troller's Office paid only the three individuals for which the County agreed to pay, then the other three individuals would have short paychecks tomorrow (Decem- ber 2nd) and there would be a time lag for the Union to make up the difference. Discussion followed. The Board was in agreement to comply with the Union's re- quest to pay all six County employees upfront. 0 162 SALARY MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY.
