COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 4-S Office of County Commissioners Washington, Pa., May 31, 1984 The Washington County Salary Board met in session on Thursday, May 31, 1984, at approximately 10:45 a.m, in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso and Controller Beharry. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order and asked if there were any corrections, additions or omissions to Minute Nos. 1-S (1-3-84 and 3-8-84), 2-S and 3-S. Miss Beharry submitted to the Board a list of additions/corrections to the minutes of 3-8-84 (No. 1-S continued) and also requested more time to review Minute Nos. 2-S and 3-S. The Board was in agreement to table the matter of approv- ing all of the foregoing minutes until the next meeting. COMMISSIONERS 4153-153 - RECORDER OF DEEDS Mrs. Woodward requested that the Board re-create the position of Clerk - Typist I which was recently abolished. She advised the Board that two of her employees will be undergoing surgery (B. Dutch and G. Broadus) and also that her office is ten days behind in indexing. A lengthy discussion followed. Commission- er Petrosky made reference to the last Salary Board meeting whereby the Board re- established a position in the Treasurer's Office until June 30th at which time the need for that position would be re-evaluated. He felt that Mrs. Woodward's re- quest should be handled similarly with respect to a time limit and re-evaluation. More discussion followed. Moved by Mrs. Woodward, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, creating a per diem posi- tion of Clerk -Typist I for a period of ninety (90) days at which time the need for said position will be re-evaluated.
