COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 1-S-85 (continued) Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., February 14, 1985 The Washington County Salary Board Reorganization Meeting re -convened at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, 1985, in the Public Meeting Room of the Courq- house Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, with the following member being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso and Controller Beharry Elected Officials present were: Judge Gladden; District Attorney John Pettit; Sheriff Fazzoni; John F. Yoney, Treasurer; Coroner Jackson; Olga Woodward, Recordgr ,of Deeds; Barbara Gibbs, Clerk of Courts. Also present were: Chief Clerk Dalla- tore; Solicitor Bassi; Lou Lignelli, Director of Administration; Margaret Pennlinq, Personnel Director; Chief Deputy Sheriff Littleton; Catherine Lindley, Deputy Prothonotary; Geraldine Churney, Deputy Register of Wills; Mary Lynn Drewitz, Court Administrator; Betty Ross, Deputy Director of Domestic Relations; Janice Urban, Office Manager of the Personnel Office; Judith Costa Sasselli, Payroll Audit Supervisor; Administrative Assistant Davis; Judith Lomago, Executive Secre- tary; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Natalie Moore, The Herald Standard; and Joann Sarkett, Brownsville Telegraph. Chairman Mascara called the meeting to order. He noted that the union pay increases will take effect July 1, 1985, and that there will not be any management raises during 1985. Clarification of Minutes Upon a question raised by Miss Beharry, it was noted that it was not the Board's intent to abolish any vacant positions at the meeting on January 7, 1985. Moved by Mr. Paluso, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, that the motion made at the meeting on January 7, 1985, (p. 293) be clarified by adding the words "and vacant positionst1 after the words "to retain all County employees". Roll call vote taken: Miss Beharry - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Commissioners Mascara and Petrosky stated they felt such a policy could be encouraged but didn't feel it could be dictated or enforced. More discussion followed.
