Washington, Pa., July 9, 1987
The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting
Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, at
approximately 11:10 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 1987, with the following members
being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso and Judith Costa
Sasselli, Acting Deputy Controller. Also being present: Judge Gladden; Chief
Clerk Dallatore; Mary J. Drewitz, Court Administrator; Lou Lignelli, Director of
Administration; John Pettit, District Attorney; Marge Pennline, Personnel Director;
Janice Urban, Personnel Office Manager; Linda Young, Clerk -Steno II; Mike Prascak,
Director of Information Systems; Larry Spahr, Director of Elections; Barb Davis,
Administrative Assistant; Judi Lomago, Executive Secretary; Phil Garrow, Planninc
Commission; and Jon Stevens, Observer -Reporter.

Moved by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Petrosky, to CREATE a contracted
position for the retainment of Attorney Patrick C. Derrico to represent the
District Attorney in regard to the surcharges filed by the Controller for the
year 1986; rate to be set at $75.00 per hour.

Remarks: It was noted that this is a grant program and the employees will also
be entitled to mileage at the rate of 20 cents per mile.

the recommendation to create these positions was contained in the CMU report. -
Discussion followed.
Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the following:

CREATE position of Computer Operator, Grade 8, (800) Rate
