COMMISSIONERS Minute No. 3-S-88 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., March 3, 1988 The Washington County Salary Board met in session in the Public Meeting Room of the Courthouse Square Office Building, Washington, Pennsylvania, at approxi- mately 11:10 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 1988, with the following members being present: Commissioners Mascara, Petrosky and Paluso and Elmo Cecchetti, Deputy Controller. Also being present: Chief Clerk Dallatore; Margaret Pennline, Personnel Director; Janice Urban, Office Manager, Personnel Office; John Pettit, District Attorney; Farrell Jackson, Coroner; David Suski, JTPA Director; Phil Garrow, Publications and Information Coordinator; Barb Davis, Administrative Assistant; Judi Lomago, Executive Secretary; Linda Hands, Clerk -Steno II; Jon `Stevens, Observer -Reporter; Chris Buckley, Valley Independent; Robin Acton Huhn, Herald Standard; and Harry Bradford, Brownsville Telegraph. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman Mascara noted that approval of Minute No. 13-S-87 dated December 17, 1987, Minute No. 1-S-88 dated January 4, 1988 and Minute No. 2-S-88 dated January 28, 1988, would be held in abeyance. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the following as listed under each account: 4121-121 - ELECTIONS Slots to be CREATED for the 1988 Primary and General Elections: 15 Canvass Board slots - $30.00/day 50 Ballot Inspector slots - $30.00/day 4 Transfer Carrier slots - $30.00/day 15 Trusties - $10.00/day 11 Ballot Box Delivery slots - $10.00/day (20-25 hours) 4193- CORONER Dr. Ernest Abernathy, Medical Examiner, from $116.66/month, $1,400.00/year to $316.67/month, $3,800.00/year, increase in contracted services, eff. 3-1-88 Remarks: At the request of Deputy Controller Cecchetti, Coroner Jackson explained the reasons for the increase for Dr. Abernathy. Discussion followed. The foregoing motion was amended to include the Elections Department only. Roll call vote taken: Mr. Cecchetti - Yes; Mr. Paluso - Yes; Mr. Petrosky - Yes; Mr. Mascara - Yes. Moved by Mr. Petrosky, seconded by Mr. Paluso, approving the increase for Dr. Ernest Abernathy as listed above.
