Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit and Lane.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that James Roupe, Warden of the
County Jail, be given $100.00 for expenses to attend the First Central States Area Regional
Forum on Jail Problems at Dayton, Ohio, on October 29 and 30, 1953•
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit, Lane and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that all bids received covering insur-
ance and which were opened on Friday, September 251 1953 be rejected, and each bid together with
certified check in the amount of $200.00 be returned to each bidder.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Controller be authoriz-
ed to advertise for bids for insurance in accordance with Act No. 123 and to cover robbery,
burglary and/or larceny inside the premises and robbery and larceny to apply outside of insured
premises.
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Treasurer be and is
authorized to cancel the Treasurer's Tax Sale of March 24, 1942, for a 1936 County Tax plus sale
costs for the property assessed to J. Shelby Crall Est* and described as "4V. Lots 15-16-17-18
C. Street situate in the 2nd Ward, City of Monongahela, inasmuch as, the assessment of these
four lots to J. Shelby Cra�ll Esto is incorrect as J. Shelby Crall Est. never had title to the
said four lots and due to the fact that the assessment is such a poor one it is almost impossible
to determi-ne the rightful owner of these lots.
The Tax Claim Bureau, the Assessment Office and the Office of the Prothonotary
are hereby directed to mark their records accordingly.
