Motion carried unarn.mously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount
of $1.99, be made payable to Anthony L. Tomich, 490 Liberty Avenue, Donora, Pa., on property
situate in the Borough of Donora, described as 2 sty, frame house, Lot 28 Blk. 24, Liberty Ave.
D. B. 851 - 98. This refund being made, due to the fact, that on June 17, 1953s the 1953 County
Tax was paid by Anthony L. Tomich on the above listed property but Mr. Tomich used original
owners' tax card which included $200.00 occupation, plus $1,100.00 real estate, making a total
of $13.65 less discount of $.68 or total net paid $12.97, the tax was reduced by Tax Adjustment
#1233 making the correct amount $10.98. Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare
said voucher for this refund in the amount of $1.99•
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Butler H. Waugh, be appointed
as a Draftsman in the Tax Assessment Office; this action to be effective on December 16, 1953-
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Mike Tarbuck, be appointed as
a temporary assistant to Lucian Spriggs; this action being retroactive to December 7, 1953.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the•
meeting adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit, Lane and Mazza.
Soil Conservation District meeting held to fill the vacancies which exists due
to the expiring terms of Directors Mr. Jay Nelan and Mr. Francis E. Pettit, on January 1, 1954.
Present at this meeting were the following representatives, Mr. T. Scott Pease of Washington
County Artifical Breeding Cooperative, Mr. E. D. Brown of The National Farm Loan Association of
Washington.
Motion by Mr. Pease, seconded by Mr. Brown that the name of Joseph O'Brien of
Amwell Township and John Rush, R. D. 1, Avella, Pa., be presented for nomination to fill the
vacany of Mr. Nelan.

Mr. O'Brien was unanimously elected to fill this vacancy•
The appointment to fill the vacancy of Mr. Pettit will be taken up at a later
