LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS E ,;j P L7 No. 169 Office of the County Commissioners Washington,.Pa., January 4, 1954 Board of County Commissioners in regular session,those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Mazza. The organization of the Board of County Commissioners., effected on the first Monday of January, 19y; continued in accordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly of 1929, (County Code), to -wits Francis Be Pettit, Chairman of the Board, We J. Lane, Secretary, and the third member of the Board being John Mazza. First in order of business was the confirmation of the appointment of Joseph Di. Filippo, Chief Clerk to the County Commissioners; and Fred Caruso, Sealer of Weights and Measures for the year 1954, each of the foregoing appointments having been made the first Monday in January 1952, for a four-year period. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Michael A. Hanna be appointed as County Solicitor replacing David H. Weiner. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that H. Russell Stahlmsn, be appointed as Assistant Solicitor in the Tax Claim Bureau. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that William C. Porter, be appointed as Assistant Solicitor in the Tax Claim Bureau. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Josephine Vincent, be appointed as Clerk in the Tax Claim Bureau. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Ann Connor, be appointed as Clerk in the Tax Assessment Office. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Gino Bianchi, be appointed as Clerk in the Tax 'Claim Bureau, replacing Peter Elsih. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Hazel H. Gleason, be appointed as Telephone Operator. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr,. Mazza, that John J. Napper, be appointed as Building Custodian, replacing Russell Scott. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Stanley Brovey, be appointed as Clerk in the Registration Office, replacing Thomas Lugen who was granted a leave of absence. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Willien Parker, be appointed as 198 MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA FRANCis E. PETTIT, W. J. LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS Maintenance Man and Janitor for the new office building. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that A. J. DeMedio and Michael E. tusturiss, be appointed as title searchers in the Tax Claim Bureau. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that G. J. Dentel, be appointed as Statistician. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconed by Mr. Pettit, that Miss MaryNorte, be appointed as a Cleaning Woman in the Court House. Motion carried unanimously.
