LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS this period of nervousness they were of the opinion the errors in tabulating could have been made. The Board of Commissioners instructed each member of the board to be extremely careful in counting in the future, and for the Judge of Election to call upon the constable to quiet outside interference. There being no further business to come before the Bca rd at this time, the meeting adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVER% N0. 180 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., February 10, 1954 Board of County Commissioners in regular session those -present being Messrs. Pettit and Lane. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit.. that William H. Mull, Jr., who resides i at R. D. 1, Hickory, Pa., be appointed as assessor of Mt. Pleasant Township, to fill the.vacancy I which exists by the resignation of the elected assessor David Frye. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County Controller be author- ized to advertise for bids for 1600 tons of slag f.o.b. plant. Type 3-A. In accordance with I 1 the Act of Assembly providing for County Aid to Townships, this approximate 1600 tons of slag shall be used by the Supervisors of Smith Township for improvement of their roads. In exchange for this consideration advanced by Washington County to "Sidth Township, the said Smith Township j R agrees to furnish and provide the County of Washington with equipment and services in an exact j amount of the aforesaid consideration. Sealed proposals will be received by County Controller, at his office in the Court House, Washington, Pa., until 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., Monday, March $, ! 1954, and opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the County Commissioners in the I Office of the County Commissioners.
