LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS 2-20 HAWID STREET, ROCHESTER 3, N.Y. Address Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the bids be tabled for further study. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time., the meeting adjourned. THE FOREGOZ`NG MINUTE READ AND APPROVED-. Marc4-29;,7.954 NO. 181 A Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., February 15, 1954 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Commis Pettit, bane, Mazza, Controller Elish and Solicitor Hanna. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Lane, authorizing the improvement of the facilities of the Washington County Airport by extending the runway to approximately 3400 feet, the said improvement being made in conjunction with cash contributions contributed by the City of Washington Chamber of Commerce. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Dane, seconded by Mr: Mazza, instructing the Chief Solicitor of Washington County to prepare a $120,9000.00 bond issue, said bonds to be callable and maturing in a series of twelve (12) years, that is, $10,9000.00 in bonds shall mature each year; and we hereby earmark all revenue received for the airport, together with all monies contributed to this pro- ject for the retirement of the above mentioned series of bonds. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that we hereby authorize the Chief Engineer of Washington County to study the airport problem with the idea of extending the runway approximately 39100 feet, and prepare proper specifications to bring about this improvement for the purpose of advertising for bids for this project. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Minute Nos. 173, 174, 175, 175-A,r 176, 177, 178, 179 and 179-A, were read and approved. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that William J. McCool be appointed as maintenance man and janitor at the new building, this action retroactive to February 1, 1954* Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. U
