THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED:

Board of County Commissioners in special session for the purpose of awarding
the Photo Copy Paper and Chemicals Contract, bids were opened on February 15, 1954, but had been
tabled for further study. Those present at the meeting being Messrs. Pettit, Lane, Mazza and
Controller Elish.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Photo Copy Paper and Chemicals
Contract for the period ending February 15, 1955p be awarded to PHOTOSTAT CORPORATION, 303
State Stree, Rochester 14, N. Y., this being the lowest bid received. Prices are F.O.B. point
of shipment but included are transportation costs of getting the material to us by freight.
Terms net 30 days.
Motion carried unanimously, with Mr. Elish_being excused.
The following motions were adopted -with the Board of Commissioners setting as the
Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes Commission.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Commissioners accept
the recommendations of the School Board and Township Supervisors of Carroll Township to fix the
assessment in said School District and Township for the current year of 1954 at 25% of the rece
appraisal of real estate made by the special assessors appointed to complete this project. The
resolution of the Carroll Township, School District and Supervisors being on file in the Tax
Assessment Offices
Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Commissioners accept
the recommendation of the Charleroi School Board and Borough Council concerning the assessment
of the Chamber of Commerce property as follows for the year 1954.

This figure shows an increase of $10,000* over the 1953 assessment. A complete file on the
above is on record in the Assessment Office.
Motion carried unanimously.
There being no farther business to come before the Board at this time, the
adjourned.
