Board of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit, Lane and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the method of collecting County
Taxes in East Bethlehem Township be revised, so that all County Taxes are collected by,the County
Treasurer the same -as other districts in Washington County. This is in accordance with the legal
opinion of County Solicitor and will result in a savings to Washington County.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meet-
ing adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners and the County Controller met in special session
for the purpose of opening bids for the furnishing of slag to be used on roads in Smith Township,
Washington County. Those present at the meeting were Commissioners Pettit, Mazza and Controller
Elish.
In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bids were
opened and read:

TO: The County Commissioners of
Washington County., in the
State of Pennsylvania:
The undersigned hereby proposes) to do all the work in and about the furnish-
ing and loading upon the customers trucks the following amounts of air coaled blast furnace slag
for use upon certain Smith Township Roads in Washington County, and to furnish all labor, mat-
erials and appliances required therefor; for and in consideration of compensation according to
the following schedule of prices.

1600 Tons Air cooled blast furnace slag; Pennsylvania
Department of Highways Type "B", and meeting
3-a grading specification. F.Q.B.

The said prices to be in full for all labor; materials; royalties on patented
inventions, and for the doing of the said work complete.
In case this proposal is accepted and contract awarded to The Standard Slag
