Pettit and Lane. I Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County Controller be author- ized to advertise for bids for two gas ranges to be delivered to the Washington County Jail. Sealed proposals will be received by the County Controller, at his office in the Court House, Washington, Pa., until 11:00 a.m., E.S.T., Wednesday, April 7, 1954, and opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the County Commissioners in the Office of the County Commissioners. LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS 3 1 J L Board of County Commissioners and the County Controller met in special session for the purpose of opening bids for the furnishing and delivering of 53 gross U. S. Flags, to the Washington County Court House, Washington, Pennsylvania. Those present at the meeting were Commissioners Pettit, Mazza and Controller Elish. In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bids were opened and read. TO: Commissioners of Washington County Washington, Pennsylvania In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller for furnishing and delivering fifty three (53) gross U. S. Flags, I (or We) propose to furnish and deliver as follows: 53 Gross U. S. Flags, must be 12"-x 18", with fast colors, construction of cloth must be 64" x 60" hemmed on four (4) sides, flags to be mounted on 30" x 3/8" white wood staff, with 2-3/4" gild spear head; must be delivered by May 15, 1954. "There is only one flag maker who makes a flag to conform to above specifications. These we can deliver to you at a price of $18.00 per gross, However, we can also deliver another flag, same size, not same quality at $15.85 per gross. A certified check in the sum of $100.00 is herewith enclosed. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids. J.
