BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

racy loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be
levied and collected during the year 1954, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to re-
pay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a
note therefor, payable August 7, 1954, with interest from date of said mote at the rate of one
(1) per cent, per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which
said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and
issued as follows:
PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY, WASHINGTON$ PA.......................$100,000.00" �

Board of County Commissioners in special session for the purpose of opening
bids for the furnishing and delivering of two gas ranges to the Washington county Jail. Those
present at the meeting were Commissioners Pettit, Mazza and County Controller Elish. -
In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bids were
opened and read.
TO: Commissioners of Washington County
Washington, Pennsylvania
In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller for furnishing and
delivering two (2) commercial gas ranges to the Washington County Jail, I (or We) propose to
furnish and deliver as follows:
One Stove with two (2) ovens, approximately 24" x 20" x 142"
Top overall dimensions approximately 5621" x 29"
Open top grates (5) each approximately 11j" x 29"
Height to top 34" maximum
Width approximately 561"
Without back panel.
One Stove with two (2) ovens, approximately �4" x 20" x 14i"
Top overall dimensions approximately 56P x 29"
Open top grates (3) approximately 11J" x 29"
Griddle plate approximately 22j" x 29" - Level with rest of stove.
Height to top 34" maximum

Ovens shall be heavily insulated, with safety oven pilot lights, porcelain oven
lining, oven door strongly re-inforced and heavily insulated, oven runners heavy iron in three
position, heavy wire oven racks, rear vents, heavy duty thermostats. The present stoves may be
inspected at the County Jail at anytime.
All bidders are requested to attach a specification of their bid. (i.e. make
or model of range and all dimensions.)

Office of the County Commissioners. Proposal blanks furnished in triplicate, two copies to be
filled out and submitted and third copy to be retained by the bidder.
A certified check in the sum of $100.00 is herewith enclosed.
The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
