LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS ZOO E 1 THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: ATT NO. 216 A , 1954 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 26, 1954 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Charles Dane, be appointed as Assistant Chief Assessor in the Tax Assessment Office, this action being retroactive to July 16, 1954. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Dane, that Clifford Poole, be appointed as a Janitor at the County Annex Building; this action being effective August 1, 1954. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes be authorized to prepare a refund voucher in the amount of $11.50 be made payable to Clarence A. C rumrine Estate, said refund to cover 1953 Personal Property tax on 50 shares of Bendix Aviation Corporation paid July 9, 1953• At the time of the filing of the 1953 Fiduciary Personal Property Return for the Estate, the stock of the Bendix Aviation Corporation was classified taxable by "Pennsylvania Tax Securities Service" of Prentice -Hall, Inc., now however, their Supplementary List dated April 23, 1954 indicates that the stock of the said corporation is exempt for 1953 and also 1954. Therefore, The Personal Property Department of The Tax Assesment Office is authorized to make the necessary adjustments. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: NO. 217 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 28, 1954 Board of County Commissioners in regular session those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that William D. Allison, who resides at R. D. 1, West Brownsville, Pa., be appointed as Assessor of Centerville Borough to fill the vacancy which exists by the resignation of David Knesovich. Motion carried.
