BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
FRANCIS E. PETTIT, W. J. LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Personal Property Department
of the Tax Assessment Office be authorized to prepare a refund voucher in the amount of $23.08,
be made payable to Dorothy D. Whitworth, 355 East Wheeling Street, Washington, Pa., said refund

to cover 1954 Personal Property Tax. This refund is a duplication of payment in re -assessment �
of Dorothy D. Whitworth, personal property tax on assessed valuation of $168.355• The amount of
$639.75 was paid at net on July 12, 1954; but by Personal Property Tax Adjustment No. 402 a de- �
Glared assessed valuation was made to read $162,280 as Bendix Aviation Stock is' now tax-exempt.
Therefore, the net tax payable is616.b7 which was also paid, making a refund of $23.08 due.
The Personal Property Department of The Tax Assessment Office is authorized to make this refund
of $23.08 which is a duplicate payment.
Motion carried.
A� this time, Controller Elish entered the meeting for the purpose of awarding
the contract for the concrete driveway and sidewalks for the County School Office.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that Donora Construction Company,
Meldon Avenue, Donora, Pennsylvania, be ,awarded the contract for the -construction of a driveway
and sidewalks for the County School Office for the sum of $795.40, (Seven Hundred ninety five
anal forty cerQ1 this being the lowest responsible bidder.
Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Field Registration
Days be changed in the Borough of Canonsburg from August 2nd to August'llth and in the City of
Monongahela from August lath to August 13th.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meet-
ing adjourned.
