LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS L Motion carried unanimously, Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $1.05 be made payable to Pete & Marie H. Pirillo, McDonald, Pa. This refund being made on property described as Lot 2, 1.368 acre, John Taggart Plan, situate in Mt. Pleasant Township. On August 2, 1954, the amount of 41.05 was paid for the 1954 County Tax and again on August 16, 1954 the amount of $1.05 was paid, thus creating a duplicate payment on above described property, Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher for the duplicate payment in the amount of 01.05. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that a refund voucher in the amount of $1.05 be made payable to George Julos, 449 EErring Street, Washington, Pa. This refund being made, due to the fact, that Mr. Julos occupation was assessed in Canton Township and also in the 8th Ward of the City of Washington. On June 16, 1954 the amount of $1,00 was paid on the 1954 Occupation Tax (paid at net), and on August 9, 1954, the amount of $1.05 was paid for the 1954 Occupation Tax (paid at face); thus creating a duplicate payment. Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau is hereby authorized to prepare said refund voucher for this duplicate payment in the amount of $1.05. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the resignation of Fred A. Caruso, Chief Sealer of the Department of the Sealer of Weights and Measures, be accepted as per his letter of resignation; this action is retroactive to September 1, 1954. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Jahn Harris be appointed as a Foreman in the Bridge Department; this action being retroactive to September 1, 1954.
