LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS NO. 231 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., October 11, 1954 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of $2.99, be made payable to Andrew Demchak, Fredericktown, Pa., on property situate in East Bethlehem Township, described as Lot No. 43, 2 room house, Bumgarner Plan. This refund being made, due to the fact, that there is an over -payment as follows: 1. On August 2, 1954, the amount of - 5.24 was paid at net by Andrew Demchak. 2. On same date of August 2, 1954, the Treasurer's Office received a Tax Adjustment No. 1371 removing the 2 room house, making the correct tax to read, $2.36 face, $.11 discount, and $2.55 net, thus making an over -payment of $2.99. Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare said voucher for this refund in the amount of $2.99, payable to Andrew Demchak. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund moucher in the amount of $2.01, be made payable to Most Rev. John F. Dearden % St. Slizabeth's Roman Catholic Churck Lawrence, Pa., on property situate in Cecil Township, described as follows: Lots 33A, AA, 35A, 36A, 37, Simpson Bros. Plan A, this is the corrected plate. This refund being made, due to the fact, that there is an over -payment as follows: 1. On July 9, 1954,t the amount of $5.01 was paid on three separate assessments as follows: 1. 1 Acre adj. Kramps-Simpson Bros. Plan 2. Lots 33A, 34A, 35A, 36A, Simpson Bros. Plan A. 3. Lots 37A, 38A, 39A, Simpson Brothers Plan A. DB 854 - 96. 2. By Tax Adjustment No. 1328, Lots No. 38A and 39A were removed and the 3 plates were combined to read as follows: Lots 334 34A, 35A2 36A3, 37, Simpson Bros. Plan A. DB 854-96• The correct tax should read as follows: $3.15 face, $.15 discount, $3.00 Net, making an over -payment of $2.01. $1.00 Net $2.50 Net $1.51 Net Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau is authorized to prepare said voucher for this refund in the amount of $2.01, payable to Most Rev. John F. Dearden. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Josephine Piccioni, be employed as a Clerk in The Tax Assessment Office; this action being retroactive to October 1, 1954. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Anna M. Lacock, be employed as a Cleaning Woman in the Court House; this action being retroactive to October 1, 1954. t Motion carried unanimously.
