Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit, Zane and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the following Polling Place be
changed as follows; due to the fact that the new polling place will be a permanent polling
place and will be used for this purpose only, election supplies will be kept in this room at
all times.
Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the following persons be named'
as clerks to the official return board to compute the votes cast at the General Election to be
held on November 2, 1954.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs,
Pettit and Lane.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County Treasurer be and is

authorized to cancel a portion of the Treasurer's Tax Sale of 1928, for the 1926 and 1927 Count,

School and Road taxes plus sale costs for the property assessed to August Valentour and described
as "Lot #I1, Block 66, Fayette, Lot #30, Block 65", situate in the Borough of Donora, Washington
County, Pennsylvania, inasmuch as the assessment of Lot #30, Block 65, was a duplicate with
William Ash the proper owner for said years. Therefore, the assessment to August Valentour is
an invalid assessment and this portion of said tax sale should be canceled.
The Tax Claim Bureau, The Tax Assessment Office and The Office of The
are hereby authorized to correct their records accordingly.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr, Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount
of 23.47, be made payable to Thomas A. & Josephine King, Clarksville, Pa., on property situate
in the Township of Fast Bethlehem, described as 2 story 7 room house - 16, Lots 1$ and part of
17 Block 9, Williamstown Plan. This refund being made, due to the fact, that on August 31. 1954,
The First Federal ,Savings and Loan Association paid the 1954 County Tax in the amount of 23.471,
on the same date of August 31, 1954, Thomas A. and Josephine King also paid the 1954 County Tax
in the amount of 23.47, which created a duplicate payment. Therefore, The Tax Claam Bureau is
authorized to prepare said voucher for this refund in the amount of $23.47, payable to Thomas A.
and Josephine King.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that agreement is approved between
the Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania and Washington County for the installation and maim
tenance of one guy pole and one anchor and guy wire on property of the County Airport in South
Franklin Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Howard Carson be appointed as
Assistant Solicitor in The Tax Claim Bureau, this action being retroactive to October 16, 1954.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Raymond Glaser, be appointed to
work in The Tax Assessment Office, this action being retroactive to October 16, 1954.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that William Metris, Clerk at the
Institution District be transferred to the Photostat Department, this action being effective
November 1, 1954.
