LANE, JOHN MAZZA, C13MMISSIONERS Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Roberta L. Keres, be appointed as as a Clerk in the Tax Assessment Office; this action being retroactive to January 16, 1955. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Martha Abraham, be appointed as a Clerk in the Tax Assessment Office; this action being retroactive to January 16, 1955. ' Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Ruth English, be appointed as a Clerk in the Tax Assessment Office; this action being retroactive to January 16, 1955. i Motion carried,. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Hazel H. Gleason, be appointed f as a Telephone Operator; this action being retroactive to January 16, 1955. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Air. Pettit, that Boyd Faux be transferred to the County Garage from the County Home; this action being retroactive to January 16, 1955. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Febru 1955 ATT � Chief Clerk / i NO. 251 3 Office of the County Commissioners I Washington, Pa., February 4, 1955 E N Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. € Lane and Mazza. i I Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the County Treasurer be directed to cancel the Treasurer's Tax Sale of 1922, for the 1920 County and School taxes and 1921 County, School and Township Taxes plus sale costs for the property assessed to Louis Bates and described i as "Lot No. 47, Durish Plan" situate in East Pike Run Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, i inasmusch as Louis Bates (correct name being Lewis Bejesi) never owned Lot No. 47 in the Durish p i Plan. Lewis Bejcsi being the rightful owner of Lot No. 7 in the Durisek Plan of Lots. Therefore,1 the tax sale should be cancelled as it raises a cloud on the title of Lot No. 7. The Tax Claim Bureau, The Assessment Office and The Office of The Prothonotary are hereby directed to mark [ 1 their records accordingly. ! E Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes be authorized to prepare a voucher for a refund in the amount of $24-81 total taxes in favor of M. J. FLYNN, 73 South Main Street, Washington, Pennsylvania. This amount covers $8.13 for 1952 taxes paid at discounnt, $8.13 for 1951 taxes paid at discount, and the 1950[ P taxes in the amount of $8.55 paid at face, on a house and garage assessed at $700 and Lot 258 i E 1 11 1
