LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS :x.... NO. 258 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., February 25, 1955 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Lane, that Clara Nones, be appointed as a Clerk in the Registration Office; this action being retroactive to February 16, 1955. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Pettit and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County Treasurer is hereby authorized to cancel the Treasurer's Tax Sales of January 22; 1940 and April 24, 1940 for the 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933 and 1934 County, School and Road Taxes, plus sale costs for the property assessed to Mike Patrick and described as house and 2 Lots No. 10 and 11 Dawson Heights Plan near Vesta 6, 1931 - 1934 described as, frame house and 2 Lots No. 10 and 11, Dawson Heights, situate in Centerville Borough, Washington County, Pennsylvania. Inasmuch as the assessment to Mike Patrick for years 1930 through 1934 was a duplication in assessment with that of John Miley alias Mily, the rightful owner of said lots for said years. Therefore, the sale should be void and cancelled. The Tax Claim Bureau, The Assessment Office and the Office of The Prothonotary are hereby directed to mark their records accordingly. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Mazza, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board, to -wit: "WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred Thousand($100,000.00)Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1955, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and are to be levied and collected by the County during the year 1955; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washing- ton, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tem- porary loan on such terms as may be agreedupon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied and collected during the year 1955, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to re- pay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor, PW&WA August 8, 1955, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one (1) per cent, per annum, free of all taxes levied by Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as
