LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Resolution of the ir Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington,, State of Pennsylvania., relative to the issue by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan,, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board,, to wit: "WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred Thousand ($100.,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1955, and to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and are to be levied and collected by the County during the year 1955; now., therefore., BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washing- ton, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tempo- rary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them,, payable out of taxes which are to be levied and collected during the year 1955, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan., with interest., is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose., and issue a note there- for., payable August 8, 1955, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one (1) per cent,, per annum., free of all taxes levied by Commonwealth of Pennsylvania., which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows: PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK & TRUST COMPANY, WASHINGTON, PA ........................ $lOOjO0O*OO" Motion carried. seconded by Mr. Mazza,, that the original minute passed January Motion by Mr. Lane., I A 1952, pertaining to employees running for County Office., be amended to read as follows: That any County Employee., excluding solicitors., running for County Office be deleted from the payroll effective the day after the last day to withdraw for the number of days that he is absent from his job. They must report to their department heads each day and the department heads in turn will certify to the Chief Clerk's Office whether they have reported or were absent. The respon- sibility of this minute being enforced is relegated to the Department Heads, Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time., the meet- ing adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: June 3 19 5 ATTEST: - ef Clerk Office of the County Commissioners Washington., Pa.., April 4., 1955 Board of County Commissioners in regular session., those present being Commissionerr, Pettit,, Lane and Mazza. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the Budget for the General Fund for the County of Washington for the fiscal year 1955 be finally adopted by the County Commissioners; the said Budget having been available for public inspection in the Office of the Chief Clerk to the County Commissioners from March 15,, 1955 to this date., in accordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly of July 18., 1935, and the rate of taxation upon the valuation of properties of the County of Washington, in order to tax sufficient revenues to meet required expenditures for the fiscal year 1955, be fixed at seven and one half mills (72)., which makes the payment of taxes in the amount of seventy five (.75) cents upon each 4100 of assessed valuation of real estate and occupation. Motion carried unanimously. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time., the meeting adjourned, - A—
