BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
FRANGIS E. PETTIT, W. J.'LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS
of record in the Office of the County Treasurer); and, further, that the County Commissioners do
hereby ratify and confirm the action of the County Treasurer in voiding the said sale and do hereby
disclaim any right, title, interest, claim or demand in and to the aforesaid premises and direct
that the assessment, upon which the aforesaid void tax sale was held, be cancelled as an incorrect
assessment and the Assessment Office is hereby directed to mark its records accordingly; and that
the County Commissioners do further confirm the fact that no deed was ever delivered to the County
Commissioners as purchasers of said premises by the County Treasurer, John L. Post.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Mazza, that the following Resolution of the
Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the
issue by the said County of a Note for One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars as a temporary
loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by the said Board, to wit:
"WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred
Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1955, and
to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and are to be levied
and collected by the County during the year 1955; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washing-
ton, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County,
the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary
loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of tames which are to be levied and
collected during the year 1955, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan,
with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefore,
payable August 8, 1955, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one (1) per cent, per
annum, free of all taxes levied by Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of
Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows:
PEOPLES FIRST NATIONAL BANK AND TRUST COMPANY, WASHINGTON, PA .................... ......$100,000*00"
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session; those present being Commissioners
Pettit, Lane and Mazza.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Carl E. Gibson, be appointed as
temporary Solicitor for Washington County; this action being effective April 22, 1955.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.
