LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS No. 3o4-A Office of the County Commissioners' Washington, Pa., October 14, 1955 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Commis - sinners Pettit and Vane. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Louis Boka, be appointed as a temporary tracer in the Drafting Room of the Tax Assessment Office, this action being retro- active to October 4. 1955. Motion carried, Motion by Mr. Vane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Emmanuel Garcia, be transfered from the Bridge Department to the Boiler Room as a Fireman, this action retroactive to October 5, 1955. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that John B. Spriggs, be appointed as a temporary assistant electrican, this action being retroactive to October 3, 1955. Motion carried, Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Willie L. Smi'th,' be appointed as a temporary night watchman at the Court House, this action being retroactive to October 10, 1955. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of $29.45 be made payable to First Federal Savings and Loan ,association of Greene County, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, on property assessed in the name of George B. & Helen P. Levers, situate in the Sixth Ward of Washington and described as 2 story frame house and garage, Lot No. 5, 281 Locust Avenue. The reason for this refund is a duplicate payment was created when on August 1, 1955 the amount of $27.98 was paid by George R. & Helen P. Levers, then on August 29, 1955 the amount of $29.45 was paid by First Federal Savings and Loan Associa- tion on the same property for the 1955 County Tax. Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau, is author- ized to prepare said voucher for this refund of 29.45 for duplicate payment to the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of 13.30 be made payable to the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene. County, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, on property assessed in the name of John Co & Mildred Bogus, situate in Centerville Borough and described as Frame house and Barn, 30 acres of surface ad- joining W. H. Baker Sr., Estate. The reason for this refund is a duplicate payment was created when on August 1, 1955 the amount of $12.64 was paid by John C. & Mildred Bogus, then on August 26, 1955 the amount of 413.30 was paid by First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County, on the same property for the 1955 County Tax. Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau, is authorized to prepare said voucher for this refund of $13.30 for duplicate payment to the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County. Motion carried. 374 MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA FRANCIs E. PETTIT, W. J. LANE, JOHN MAZZA, COMMISSIONERS Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of L $13.30 be made payable to the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, on property assessed in the name of Adeline Natalina, situate in Monongahela 3rd Ward and described as Frame house Lot 12 South Side, 424 Marne Avenue! The reason for this refund is a duplicate payment was created when on August 1, 1955 the amount of $12.64 was paid by Adeline Natalina, then on August 29, 1955 the mount of $13,30 was paid by First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County, on the same property for the 1955 County flax, Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau, is authorized to prepare said voucher for this refund of $13,30 for duplicate payment to the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County. I Motion. carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit,, that a refund voucher in the amount of $7.60 be made payable to the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County, Waynes- burg, Pennsylvania, on property assessed in the name of J. B, & Rebecca Bowen situate in Robinson Township and described as 6 room brick house and Lot 3 Prowett Plan Valley Street. The reason for this refund is a duplicate payment was created when on August 1, 1955 the amount of $7,22 was paid by J. B. & Rebecca Bowen, then on August 29, 1955 the amount of $7,60 was paid by First Federal Saving and Loan Association of Greene County, on the same property for the 1955 County Tax, Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau,, is authorized to prepare said voucher for this refund of $7.60 for duplicate payment to the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Greene County, Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of $10.83 be made payable to Kenneth W. Seanor, West Brownsville, Pa., on property assessed in the name of Kenneth W. & Norma Mae Seanor, situate in West Brownsville Borough and described as 5 room house Lots 505-507 W. S. Land Company Plan. The reason for this refund is a duplicate pay- ment was created when on August 1, 1955 the amount of $10.83 was paid by Kenneth W. Seanor, then on August 29, 1955 the amount of $11,40 was paid by the First Federal Savings and Loan, on the same property for the 1955 County Tax. Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau, is authorized to prepare said voucher for this refund of $10,83 for duplicate payment to Kenneth W. Seanor, West Brownsville, Pa. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that a refund voucher in the amount of $1.35 be made payable to Sarah Sonson, 257 W. Beau Street, Washington, Pa., on property assessed in the name of Sarah Sonson, situate in Second Ward Washington and described as 2 Frame houses, lot 257 W. Beau St., 72 & 10 Brown Avenue, Reason for this refuhd being that an error was made in pay. ment on the 1953 County Tax Card, On August 30, 1955, the amount of $19.43 was paid on the 1953 County Tax instead of the amount of $17.58 on the 1955 County Tax, making an over -payment of $1.8,5. Therefore, The Tax Claim Bureau, is authorized to prepare said voucher for this refund of $1.85 for over -payment to Sarah Sonson, 257 West Beau Street, Washington, Pa. Motion carried.
