NO. 4 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., January 9, 1948 Hoard of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter. County Controller Harvey Stuart called into the meeting for the purpose of opening bids as per advertisements of the Construction of the Huffman Bridge, Pigeon Creek No. 212 Somerset Township, Washington County, Pa., and the Farrar Bridge, Raccoon Creek, No. 29, Smith Township, Washington County, Pa. In accordance with the aforementioned advertisements, the following bids were submitted on the Huffman Bridge and opened in the presence of the County Commissioners: NAME OF BIDDER AMOUNT OF BID AMOUNT OF CHECK Charles C. Motion carried. Controller Stuart excused from the meeting. Minute Nos. 287 and 289 read and approved. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lane, to defer action on Minute #288 until members of the Board study the minute. Motion carried.
