Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that J. Emmett Dooley be appointed
Custodian of Records for the year 1948, covering the period from the first Monday in January,
1948, to the first Monday in January, 1949, with proviso that he may be dismissed upon thirty
days' notice.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that Herschel Day be appointed
Surveyor, and Joseph Zebrida as General Foreman in the County Engineer's Office for the year
1948, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1948, to the first Monday in
January, 1949, with proviso that each may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that Byrdie McCurdie Crockett be
appointed as Cleaner, omitted from the list of Court House Employees,'for the year 1948,
covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1948, to the first Monday in January,
1949, with proviso that she may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the present county Commissioners'
car be given to another department in the county.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Thomas E. Churchill of 596 East
Maiden Street, Washington, Pa., be appointed as a member of the Housing Board Authority to
fill a vacancy that now exists.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

appointed Assistant Sealers of Weights and Measures for the year 1948, covering the period
from January 16, 1948, to the first Monday in January, 1949, with proviso that each may be
dismissed upon thirty days' notice.
