FRANCIS E. PETTIT, W. J. LANE, HENRY J. LOWSTUTER, COMMISSIONERS
January 16, 1948, to the first Monday in January,,1949, with proviso that she may be dismissed
upon thirty days' notice.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Nellie Manning be appointed as
Cleaner for the year 1948, covering the period from January 16, 1948, to the first Monday in
January, 1949, with proviso that she may be dismissed upon thirty days'.notice.
,Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Violet French be appointed
Assistant Matron of Juvenile Detention home for the year 1948, covering the period from
January 16, 1948, to the first Monday in January, 1949, with proviso that she may be dismissed
upon thirty days' notice.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that W. I. Loughman be appointed
Assistant Night Watchman for the year 1948, covering the period from January 16, 1948, to the
first Monday in January, 1949, with proviso that he may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the Board for the Assessment
and Revision of Taxes be authorized to prepare refund voucher in favor of Edward McDonald,
First National Bank, McDonald, Penna., in the amount of $51.97 representing personal property
tax paid on General Foods Corporation Common Stock for the years 1944, 1945 and 1946, Pennsyl-
vania Department of Revenue, declaring this stock exempt February 14, 1947 for said years.
Motion carried, notation of the foregoing action to be made on the Minutes of the
Board for Assessment and Revision of Taxes.
Letter of complaint addressed from Donora Chamber of Commerce to the County
Commissioners relative to the condition of Donora-Webster Bridge was tabled until further
notice.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned.
