Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for Bids on furnishing and delivering Two (2), Station Wagons of the latest Model of the Chevrolet, Ford, Plymouth or Dodge make; said Bids to be received until 11:00 a. m., EST., )Monday, February 9, 1948, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the assessment, $300.00 due the Pennsylvania State Association of County Commissioners for the year 1948, as approved by the Act of May 2, 19299 P. L. 1278, as amended bar Act of Assembly 0303, June 20, 1947, be approved. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that John Andy, be appointed Mechanic at County Garage for the year 1948, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1948, to the first Monday in January, 1949, with proviso that he may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that Gust Cantemiry be appointed Court House Painter for the year 1948, covering the period from January 26, 1948, to the first Monday in January, 1949, with proviso that he may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned.
