Joint meeting of the County Commissioners and County Controller called for the
purpose of opening bids in accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller for the
printing and delivering of the necessary ballots for the conduct of the Primary Election an
Tuesday, April 27, 1948, and also for furnishing and delivering the necessary election suppli
for use at the said Primary. Present for the County Commissioners were Francis E. Pettit
and Henry J. Lowstuters W. J. Lane having notice of the meeting but being absent. Comity
Controller Stuart was also present.
In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bids were opened:

For printing, binding and delivering any rep -run of a ballot of any election
district because of error on the part of any county employees
Minimum charge per district for re -run of 100 ballots or less- 7.50
Charge per 100 rerun ballots for same district in addition
to minimum charge ............................................ 1.25
A certified check in the amount of $500.00 is enclosed herewith.

Tally sheets, return sheets, evrelop*s, numbered lists of voters, voters
certificates, Election Officers' Manuals (also 10 extra Manuals for use
of the County Board of Elections), to.; such supplies to be paced in
190 boxes, designated by district name, for use in boroughs, townships,
and third class cities, as may be found necessary. All supplies to be
delivered free to the County Board of Elections at the Court House,
Washington, Pa., not later than April 20, 19/+8.
The County Board of Elections to furnish to the successful bidder a
list showing the number of registered voters in each voting precinct
of Washington County, such list to be used in determining the size of
the box of election supplies to be furnished for each elections district;
this list to be returned to the County Board of Elections for use in
packing election supplies for delivery to the Judges of Election.
