Board of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Messrs. Pettit
and Lane. Nr. Lowatuter having notice of the meeting but being absent.
Notion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Nr. Pettit„ that the County Commissioners,, the County
Solicitor, the Chief Clerk and the Director of the 'Tax Claim Bureau attend the meeting on
problems of Act 1542, relative to the settinemp of the Tax Claim Bureau called by the Presi-
dent of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Commissioners to be held in Harrisburg,
March 24 ,1948.
Motion unanimously carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit
and Lane; Mr. Lowstuter having notice of the meeting but being absent.
Notion by Mr, Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the County take exceptions to the
Order of Court refusing the confirmation of the sale of coal in the petition at #276, February
Term, 1948, and the solicitor is hereby authorised and directed to file exceptions thereto and
take such future steps as may be necessary and proper to have the sale confirmed.
Motion carried,
Notion by Mr, Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the bid of $625.00 on the 1940 Ford
truck auctioned March 11, 19481, made by Peter Roman, R. D. #l, Canonsburg, Pa., be rejected;
the reason for the rejection being that the amount of the bid was too low.
Notion carried, with the Chief Clerk given instructions to return the dear payment
on the bid to the unsuccessful bidder.
