Board of'County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit
and Lowstuter; Mr. Lane having notice of the meeting but being absent.
County Controller Stuart called into the meeting for the pose of opening bids
received in accordance with advertisement of the County Controller for furnishing and delivering
Two (2) 1+ Ton -Dump Trucks and Two (2) latest model Standard Four -Door Sedans.
In accordance therewith, the following bids were opened and read:

This bid being unqualified, as proposals do not meet with specifications,
Motion duly made and seconded that the bids be tabulated and action taken on award-
ing of the contracts at a later date.
Motion carried.
Controller Stuart excused from the meeting and the regular order of business of the
Board of Ctmissioners proceeded with.
Minute Nos. 28, 29 and 30 read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorised to cancel Tax
Sale of January 249v1940, .of, the property assessed in the name of Elmer Leonard Estate and
described as "House and Lot adjoining property of Charles Leonard on National Pike", inasmuch
as the lien (#1150 August Term, 1936, A.D.)` was satisfied by John F. Roney, Solicitor of the
Centerville School District under date of March 11, 1948, for the reason that payment of the
above was made on October 24, 1936, to A. L. Kinder, Centerville School District for the 1930
School Tax on the Elmer Leonard Estate, therefore, the lien was entered in error. The Protheno-
tart' is directed to make the proper entry in his Treasurer's Deed Book and other records.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of
Taxes be authorised to prepare the necessary Vouchers incidental to issuing refund checks in
favor of Lyda Prall Supler, 12 Poplar Street, Washington, Pa., in the amount of $21.32
representing County Taxes for the year 1945 and 194.69 paid in the name of the Mary F. Prall
Estate ,.,=property situate in the 6th Ward of the City of Washington, at the Corner of Liam
Avenue and Poplar Street, the assessment on the said property being a duplicate assessment of
that property assessed in the name of Lyde Supler, at 12 Poplar Street, City of Washington,
and County taxes on both properties having been paid by the said Lyda Prall Supler for the said

years as is indicated by the County Treasurer's records and receipts presented by Mrs. Supler.
Motion carried, with notation of the foregoing action to be made on the Minutes of
