There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. 11gonalig"townk I t r ar A May 28, 1948 ATTEST: Chief Clerk NO. 36 e*e*eE** Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., April 30, 1948 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter. County Controller Stuart called into the meeting for the purpose of opening bids in accordance with advertisement of the County Controller for furnishing and delivering Two (2) tw6-door latest model Dodge Sedans with heater and defroster as stated in Minute #33. There being no Bids received, Notion duly made and seconded that the Chief Clerk be instructed to purchase a Standard two -door Dodge Sedan for the amount of $15f 40, from Dewey's Auto Service, Frederiektown, Pa., this use price being shown an the bid submitted at the time the County Controller advertised for Two (2) four -door Dodge Sedans; the bid being not in accordance with specifications on proposal blank, the offer was rejected at the time. The newly purchased car to be assigned to the District Attorneys Office for the use of Assistant County Detective John Penderville. Notion carried with County Controller Stuart excused from the meeting. Notion duly made and seconded that Matthew Gasparovie be appointed Court House Painter for the year 1948, effective April 19, 1948, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January,. 1949, with the proviso that he may be dismissed upon thirty dayst notice. Motion carried. Notion duly made and seconded that ,Adeline Wright be transferred from a Child Welfare Worker to a Clerk in the Real Estate Department for the year 1948, effective Nay 1, 19481 and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1949, with the proviso that she may be dismissed upon thirty dayst notice. Notion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned.
