LOWSTUTER, COMMISSIONERS No. 38 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., May 6, 1948 Board of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Messrs. Pettit and Lane. Mr. Lowstuter having notice of the meeting but being absent. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorised to advertise for the Globe-Barnieke Visible Record Equipment or other similar make for use of the Washington County Tax Claim Bureau and the County Treasurers Office. Bids to be received until 11sOO DST, Friday, May 21, 1948, in the office of the County Controller. The right being reserved to reject any or all Bids. Notion carried. -- Notion duly made and seconded that the Purchasing Agent be authorised to purchase a Webster -Chicago Recorder of the Cylinder Type for the use of the County Commissioners. Notion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the Reverend Lester I. Snyder be appoiated a member of the Washington County Horsing Authority, effective Bay 6, 1948, following th&,T*sig- nation of Thomas E. Churchill, his resignation being effective the same date. Notion carried. There being no further business to cease before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Notion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Harry Richards, Laborer at County 1 1 Garage be dismissed from his position, effective May 15, 1948. Motion carried.
