four -page units under 52, as well as an allowance of $3.10 for blank pages.
Motion carried, with the County Controller present when this action was taken. The
Controller was then excused from the meeting and the Board continued with the regular order
of business.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorised to cancel
Tax Sale of January 22, 1940, of the property of Mary A. Noah and described as 'Vacant Let
South Side Linne Avenue adjoining L. E. Foster,'t inasmuch, as the above is an incorrect
description and a resolution by the School District of the Borough of Burgettstown was approvee
an August 100 1942, directing that Lien #933 February Term, 1932 be satisfied. The lien for
the Borough Tax entered against Mary Noah at No. 986 February Term, 1932 was satisfied by
Mr. Sciamanni, Solicitor for the Borough. The Prothonotary is directed to make the proper
entry in his Treasurer's Deed Book and other records.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the County Controller be
authorised to purchase eighteen (18) square of the roofing for the total am of $635.00, for
necessary repairs to the maintenance of the Court House and Jail Roof.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the'masting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit
and Lane. Mr. Lowstuter having notice of the meeting but being absent.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Dora Frazee and Ann Parry be
appointed members of the Court House Cleaning Staff for the year 1948, effective May 24, 1948,
and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 194% with the pravise
that each may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice.
Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Josephine Marra be appointed as
Clerk in Real Estate Office for the year 1948, retroactive to May 179, 190, and covering the
period from that date to the first Monday in January, 191+9, with the proviso that she may be
dismissed upon thirty days' soticei

Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Angelo Snarino be reinstated as a
Laborer on the Bridge Crew of the Bridge Department, effective May 241, 1948.
Motion carried.
