LOWSTUTER, COMMISSIONERS MGNGNGhEELA PHELIRHtNG Off. in Registration Office for the year 1948, effective June 1, 1948, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1949, with the proviso that she nay be dismissed upon thirty doyst notice. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Boyd Faux be, appointed Laborer on the Road Crew of the Engineering and Bridge Department, effective June 12 1948. Motion carried, Notion duly made and seconded that the Washington County Court House be closed on June 24, 1948, which is to be observed as Flag Day, a legal holliday. Motion carried. Minute Nos. 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 379 38, 39, 4O, 419 42 and 43 read and approved. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Paul Sikora be reinstated as Assistant Boiler Engineer, effective June 1, 1948, and that the notion to dismiss in Minute No. 39 is null and void. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Jake Ladizinski be reinstated as a Laborer on the Bridge Crew of the Engineering and Bridge Department, effective Jtme 1, 1948, and that Mike Zulo be appointed as Laborer on the Bridge Crew of the aforesaid Department, effective June 1, 1948. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision -of Taxes be authorized to prepare voucher for refund of the sun of $55.80 in favor of Sara Jane Mu7.lett, 3424 Liberty Avenue, Pittsburgh, Penna., cowering 1947 County Tax paid on 29 Acres of Active Coal underlying the Freshwater Farm and assessed at $8,700. This assessment was eliminated from the records after receipt of the Mullett Coal CompwT affidavit which showed it was in error but Sara Jane Mullett had already paid the tax on this partiolkilar item as shorn by the tax receipt attached. Motion carried, with notation of the foregoing action to be made on the Minutes of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes.
