NO. % Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 19, 1948 ` Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter. Controller Stuart called into the meeting foY the -purpose of opening bids for the repair and restoration of Two Hundred (200) Volumes, more or less, of o d record books now on file in the Office of the Prothonotary and the Sheriff's Office, Court Home, Washington County, Pennsylvania, according to specifications. In accordance, therewith, the following bids were opened and reads VONONGAW A PVBIJSHING COMM 440-LFlN2 Main Street Monongahela, Pennsylvania Having examined the attached Specifications for the repair and restoration of records in the Office of the Prothonotary and the Sheriff's Office in the Court House of Washington County, Pennsylvania, and under- standing the same, I (or We) propose to perform this work in accordance therewith at the price oft $82.25 per volume A certified check in the sum of $500.00 is herewith enclosed. BQWIN HMTMAN COMPANY 92 Noble Avenue Pittsburgh 5, Pennsylvania Having examined the attached Specifications for the repair and restoration of records in the Office of the Prothonotary and the Sheriff's Office in the Court House of Washington County, Pennsylvania, and under- standing the same, I (or We) propose to perform this work in accordance therewith at the price of: Class 1. 310.0-0 per volume Class 2. 6133.1 per volume Class 3. per volume A certified check in the sum of $500.00 is herewith enclosed. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the bids be tabulated and awarding of the contract deferred until a later date. Motion carried, with Controller Stuart excused from the meeting and regular order of business proceeded with, Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter that Adel Jobes, 618 McKean Avenue, Charleroi, Pa., be exonerated from paying her 1948 County Head Tax, inasmuch as she is an iuvalld,'. Motion carried, with notice of the foregoing action to be made an the Minutes of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter that the property located at the corner of Locust and Wilson Avenues, Washington, Pa., which belongs to 0. J. Barbush of Langeloth, Pa., be exempt from County Taxes as long as said property is used as a Playground. Motion carried, with notice of the foregoing action to be made on the Minutes of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes. !r] E 1 Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the Board rates for the children
