in the Juvenile Detention Home be fixed at the same rate as the Board Rate not for the children
of the Juvenile Court in Foster Homes; as stated in Minute 153.
Motion carried.
Notion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Nr: Pettit, that Joseph Zebrida and Paul J. Pettit,
employees of the Engineering and Bridge Department, attend the Road Equipment Show held in
Chicago, Illinois, during the week of July 19, 1948.
Notion carried.
Notion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the Articles of Agreement for the
oars of Washington County Prisoners at the Allegheny County Mork House between the Alleghww
County Mork House and the Washington County Commissioners be approved; this agreement being
effective July 1, 1948.
Notion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Washington, P.a., July 19, 1948
Board of County Commissioners in special session for the purpose of awarding the
contract for the repairing and restoring of volumes in the Offices of the Prothonotary and
the Sheriff. Those present at the meeting being Messrs. Pettit, LtAo and Lotrstuter and
Controller Stuart.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the C. Elwin Hultman Company,
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, be awarded the contract as per bid and specifications of July 19,
1948, to re -ink, re -build and repair all volumes under Class 1; to repair, rebuild and rebind
all volumes under Class 2; and to repair and rebid 24 volumes of Class 3; the bid for the
Class 1 is $310.00 per volume, Class 2 is $133.75 per volume and Class 3 is $81.50 per volume;
and that the Monongahela Publishing Company of Monongahela, Pennsylvania, be awarded the
contract for repairing and rebinding One Hundred Four (104) Volumes under Classification 3 at
$82.25 per volume as per bid and specifications of July 19, 1948.

Notion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit,, to transfer $1600.00 to the County
Treasurer Is Account from the Unappro"ted Balance to be used for Extra Help for Mrs. Cora
Spencer and Miss Cecelia Polites, or their replaeeme#ts.
Notion carried.

adjourned.
