N0. 58 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., July 26, 1948 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter. Controller Stuart called into the meeting, also. Notion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the Guy Woodward Garage be paid the bid price plus increased costs of $96.00 for the 1948 Dodge Sedan, which bid was awarded April 19, 194$, and that the car be assigned to the Chief County Detective. Notion carried, with Controller Stuart being excused from the meeting. Notion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the recommendation to change the Polling Place in Washington First Ward, First Precinct, be changed from the Washington Fire Department Building to the First Ward School, corner of Franklin and Maiden Street in Washington, Pennsylvania. Motion carried, with notice of the foregoing action to be made on the Minutes of the Registration Commission. Ration by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that T. W. Wilson and John M. Figurra be hired as Laborers in the Engineering and Bridge Department; their effective date being retroactive to the 20th of duly, 1948. Notion carried. Notion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that to the Washington County Rousing Authority be appointed William B. West to serve the unexpired term of dames M. Iydic, deceased, and that Earl T. Loucks be appointed to serve the unexpired term of Jay W. Troutman, resigned. Notion carried. Pettit and Lane. Mr. Lowstuter having notice of the meeting but being absent. Motion duly made and seconded that the Washington County Commissioners abate the penalties and interest on 1933 County Tax amounting to $10.64 on the property of Bonne and Let #186 assessed in the name of Charles Bonderenka in the Borough of California. This action is taken in conjunction with similar action taken by the )Road Supervisors and the School Board n of the Borough of California. Motion carried.
