THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AM APPROVED: September , 1945 ATTEST: /14�� Chief Clerk NO. 65 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., September 1, 1945 Board of County Commissioners in special session, those present being Messrs. Pettit and Lane. Motion duly made and seconded that the Budget of the Veterans' Affairs Department and Military Contributions Account #504 be increased from Eighteen Thousand ($18,000.00) Dollars to Twenty-four Thousand ($24,000.00) Dollars. The Six Thousand ($6,000.00) Dollars to be appropriated from the Unappropriated Balance. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the Budget of the Tax Collectors Account #108 be increased from Two Hundred Fifty ($250.00) Dollars to Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars. The increased appropriation of Two Hundred Fifty ($250.00) Dollars to be made from the Unappropri- ated Balance. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the Registration Office be opened on Friday Evening, September 3, 1945, from 7 P. M. to 10 P. M., EBST, and September 9, 10 and 11, 1945, at the same hours. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorised to advertise for the furnishing and delivering of coal for heating the Court House and Jail for the 1945- 1949 season. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes be authorised to cancel liens entered in the name of Charles Pusul.a, 220 Gregg Street, Mononga- hela 1st Hard for the years 1945-46-47 on property described as "2 Sty Frame House, $1,050, and Lot, $265," said assessment being a duplication of the assessment carried in the name of Charles Pasula, the duplication of the assessment having appeared on the 1945 assessment record at'the time Charles Pasula purchased the property in question from the Pittsburgh Coal Co. and was erroneously carried on the assessment record in the name of Charles PUsula as well as in the name of Charles Pasula; the necessary adjustment to be made for the year 1948 to remove the duplicate assessment from the records for the current year 1948. Motion carried. Announcement is made by Mr. Pettit that the resignation of Carmella Gilmore, Clerk from the Registration Office has been submitted by Mrs. Gilmore. At this time, County Treasurer Peter Elish and Deputy Treasurer F. Leo Wright enter the meeting and announced the appointment of Carmella Gilmore as Sub -Collector for the collection of 1945 Delinquent Taxes.
