There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter. County Controller Stuart called into the meeting also. Motion duly made and seconded that the 1942 Hudson Coach offered at Public Sale, November 5, 1948, at 10:30 a.m., be.sold to Donald L. Anderson, West Alexander, R. D. #1, for the sum of $500.00. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the contract on the two -door 1948 Standard Dodge Sedan be awarded to A. DEWEY PELLEGRINI, Main Street, Fredericktown, Pa., for the total bid of $1804.27; this being the only bid received. This car is to be used by Sheriff Grant Furlong who is to be responsible for any damages occuring to it. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the four -door Dodge Sedan purchased from Guy Noodwardss Garage, Washington, Pa., as per bid received April 16, 1948, be assigned to District Attorney Frank J. Docktor who is to be responsible for any damages occuring to it. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the contract on the EVANS BRIDGE, Ten Mile Creek No. 40, Amwell Township, be avaaded to John A. Irwin, Washington, Pa., for the total bid of $33,171.40; this being the lowest and best bid received. Motion carried, with Controller Stuart instructed to return the certified checks to the unsuccessful bidders. Motion duly made and seconded that the contract on the McCULLOUGH BRIDGE. Kings Creek #4, Hanover Township, be awarded to the H & M Construction Company, Canonsburg, Pa., for the total bid of 9,277.56; this being the lowest and best bid received. Motion'carried, with Controller Stuart instructed to return the certified checks to the unsuccessful bidders, and with this instruction being excused from the meeting. Motion duly made and seconded that Armistice Day, November ll, 1948, be observed as a legal holiday with all Offices to be closed. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes be authorized to prepare vouchers for refund in the amount of $14.72 in favor of the
