Citizens National Bank, Washington, Pa., representing over -payment of 1948 County Tax in that
amount on the bank property in the Borough of Claysville by reason of the following facts:
The original assessment of $32,000 on the property in question for the year 1948 was reduced
to $30,000 by appeal to the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes but the said Citizens
National Bank was erroneously billed and paid under date of July 1% 1948, on the original
assessed valuation of $32,000, thereby making an excess payment of $34.72.
I Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that since the necessary rights of
way have been secured for the widening, relocating and dredging of Pike Run in accordance with
t the plans previously prepared; and since the federal Government, through the offices of the
U. S. Engineers, are preparing plans and estimates for the doing of similar work in the Gran-
ville vicinity, that Washington County proceed with the work at Site No. 3 as shown on County
Plans; beginning at the Pittsburgh -Consolidation Coal Company Bridge over Pike Run at Lower
Daisytown and extending upstream for a distance of 1400 feet more or less,the work to be done
involving an estimated expenditure of approximately Eight Thousand ($8000) dollars.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit,
Lane and Lowstuter.
Minute Nos. 71, 72, 73, 742 75 and 75-A read and approved.
Motion duly made and seconded that the cost increase on the 4-door Deluxe Dodge
Sedan purchased from the Guy Woodward Garage, Washington, Pa., be absorbed as per bid proposal
of April 15, 1948; cost as per bid of April 15, 1948, is-#1585;.50 pins increase of $189.60 as
per agreement of June 19, 1948, increases the total cost of the car to 1775.10.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
adjourned.
