Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. January 14, R49. Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter. Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adopted: WHEREAS, certain tracts of the Pittsburgh Vein of Coal with mining rights and certain tracts of surface and land, being 600 hates,, more or less, of coal and 125 acres, more or less, of surface and land in Independence Township were sold to Washington County by the Treasurer of Washington County on April 25, 1940, and were sold as the property of the Duquesne Coal and Coke Company for unpaid County, School and Road taxes in the approximate amount of $40,349.62. WHEREAS, the said coal and mining rights, surface and land have been transferred to the Washington County Tax Claim Bureau -finder the provisions of the Act of duly 7, 1947; and. WHEREAS, the said Washington County Tax Claim Bureau under the provisions of the said Act of Assembly is authorised and permitted to sell the aforesaid coal and mining rights, surface and land at private sale with the approval of all the taxing districts interested therein; and WHiMAS, the said Washington County Tax Claim Bureau has received an offer from Domeniek Falcons to purchase the said coal and mining rights, surface and land for the sun or price of $5000.00 and has agreed to sell the said coal and mining rights, surface and land for said price with the approval and consent of the said taxing districts involved, to wit, the Independence Township School District, the Road Supervisors of Independence Township, the County of Washington and the Washington County Institution District. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County of Washington, in accordance with the provisions of the Act of July 7, 1947, agree to a private sale by the Washington County Tax Claim Bureau to Domenick Falconi for the price of $5000.00 of the tracts of coal of the Pittsburgh Vein of Cc, with mining rights, surface and land, situate as aforesaid in Indepen- dence Township which were sold to Washington County by the Comity Treasurer for the non-payment of taxes as set forth above and now held by the said Washington County Tax Claim Bureau, and does hereby agree upon receipt of said purchase price that the said Washington County Tax Claim Bureau, as trustee grantor, may execute and deliver a deed for said coal and mining rights and convey title to the said purchaser, free, clear and discharged of all tax claims and tax judgments of this District to the date hereof. Motion carried.
