LOWSTUTER, COMMISSIONERS �y 1 NO. 82 Pittsburgh, Pa., December 7, 1948 A special called meeting of the Westmoreland and Washington County Officials was held in Pittsburgh, Pa., December 7, 1948, for the purpose of awarding the Steel Contract for the rehabilitation of the Donors -Webster Bridge.. Following are the names of the various Officials who attended: Washington County Commissioners Francis E. Pettit, W. J. Lane, Henry J. Lowstuter; and Westmoreland County Commissioners Frank E. Cochran, J. Galvin Turner, W. Everett Noel; Washington County Deputy Controller Gilbert J. Dentel representing County Controller Harvey Stuart and Leonard B. Keck., Controller of Westmoreland County; Washington County Solicitor David H. Weiner and Vincent Williams, Solicitor of Westmoreland County; Washington County Engineer H. B. Crumrine and B. F. Hebrank, Engineer of Westmoreland County; Carl J. Jacobsen, Consulting Engineer for the Donors -Webster Bodge and William Montgomery, Mr. Jacobsen's Assistant; and Ben White and Russell Hart, representing the Carnegie -Illinois Steel Corporation. Motion duly made and seconded that Commissioner Cochran act as Chairman of the meeting. Motion carried. Motion by Commissioner Lane of Washington County, seconded by Commissioner Turner of Westmoreland County, that the proposal of the Carnegie -Illinois Steel Corporation submitted and opened November 29, 1948, at Washington, Pa., to supply and deliver steel for the rehabilitation of the Donora-Webster Bridge for $80,858.87 be accepted and considered as a firm bid, subject to the escalator price clause. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the Consulting Engineer, Carl J. Jacobsen, be authorised to arrange the advertisement for the construction on the said Bridge on or about March 1 or April 1, 194.9, which ever date he deems most suitable. Motion carried. Pettit Lane and Lowstuter. Motion duly made and seconded that the following Registration Dates and Polling Places for the year 1949 be accepted; Registration time 1:00 P. M. to 4:00 P. M. and from 6:00 P. M. to 10:00 P. M.:
