Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being )Messrs.
Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter.
The organization of the Board of County Commissioners, effected on the first
Monday of January, 1948, continued in accordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly of
1929, (County Code), to -wit: Francis E. Pettit, Chairman of the Board, W. J. Lane, secretary
and the third member of the Board being Henry J. Lowstuter.
First in the order of business was the confirmation of the appointment of John
Bevec, Chief Clerk to the County Commissioners, Daivd H. Weiner, County Solicitor, and John
L. Harris, Sealer of Weights and Measures for the year 1949, each of the foregoing appointments
haveing been made the first Monday in January, 1948, for a four-year period.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the following named persons
be employed in the Office of the County Commissioners in the respective capacities set forth
for the year 1949, retroactive to January 3, 1949, and covering the period from that date to
the first Monday in January, 19501, with the proviso that each may be dismissed upon thirty days
notice:

be employed in the Tax Claim Bureau in the respective capacities set forth for the year 1949,
retroactive to January 3, 1949, and covering the -period from that date to the first Monday, in
January, 1950, with the proviso that each may be dismissed upon thirty days notice:
