There being no further business to come before the Board at this time,

Washington, Pa., January 14, 1949
The Washington County Soil Conservation Commission met in the Office of the
;County Commissioners, on Friday, January 2.4. 1949, for the purpose of reorganizing.
Those present at the meeting were Director Pettit, Commissioners Lane and Low-
istuter, and the following representatives from various Associations: James A. McGugiaa, Farm
;Bureau Cooperative; Russell Devore and William Orr, Washington County Pomona Grange; T. Scott
IPease, Washington County Artificial Breeding Cooperative; Jay Nelan, The National Farm Loan
Association of Washington.
Question called for as to the nomination of a duly qualified member for a full
four-year term as Director. Marry Hank, R. D. #11, Monongahela, Pa., was the only member
nominated.
Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that Harry Hank be appointed as
.one of the Directors of the Washington County Coil Conservation Commission for a four-year term.
Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that Francis E. Pettit, be
!appointed Director of the Washington County Soil Conservation Commission for the year 1949.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to attend to, the Directors & Members present
from various Organizations, were excused and regular order of business was carried on with the
!three Commissioners present.
Minute Nos. 79, So, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 871, 88 and 89 were read and approved.
Motion duly made and seceded that Joseph Butler, Assistant Sealer of Weights
and Measures, be given a two meth leave of absence, commencing January 17, 1949, and that he bel
paid for a period of one month.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meet- j
'ing adjourned.
