of Louis Fodor, C/o J. E. Campbell, Avella, Pa., who is assessed in the District of Jefferson

with House and Lot located in the Barnes plan of lots located on the red dog road, leading
from Avella to Penabscott Mine. This action is taken in conjunction with similar action taken
by the Jefferson School District, and being that the County Tax in question had not been
revived since 1941, it had become null and void.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Tax Claim Bureau and the County Treasurer
be authorized to abate the penalty and interest on the 1930 County Tax amounting to $6.90 on
the property of Antoni Matrano, c/o Tony Martarona, Cecil, Pa., who is assessed in Cecil Town-
ship with House and Lot adjacent to August Piret. This action is taken in conjunction with
similar action taken by the Cecil Township Road Supervisors.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Tax Claim Bureau and the County Treasurer
be authorized to abate the penalties and interest on the 1943 County and Institution Tax, and.
19" and 1945 County Taxes amounting to $5.46 on the property -of Stanley and Julia Pavlic, 355
Johns Avenue, McDonald, Pa., who is assessed in the Borough of McDonald with a 2 story frame
house and lot situated on the aforesaid address. .This action is taken for the reason that
during the years 1943, 19" and 1945 the Pavlic's were doubly assessed when their name was
legally changed.
Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the 1947 County Tax assessed in the name of
Grace Kerner and described as Lots 39-41-42 and 43 in Curry Plan #3 in North Strabane Township,
be refunded to Grace Kerner, since this property was sold to the County for 1941 taxes on
April 7, 1947. The amount of this refund is County Tax, $3.88; penalty, $.39 and interest,
$:10; the total being $4.37.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the
meeting adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs.
Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter.
Captain John Weinzettle, Corporal Lawrence Stuart and Warrant Officer Ashley
Martin representing the Pennsylvania National Guard Unit, 110th Infantry, were called into
the meeting for the purpose of explaining the requested annual appropriation of $500.00 which
was recently received through mail.
