LOWSTUTER, COMMIBBIONERB After considerable explanatimn- and .-detailing of last years expenditures, the Commissioners delayed action on the appropriation until a later date. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTE READ AND APPROVED: February 25 1949. ATTEST: Aw Chief clerk NO. 93 Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., February 4, 1949 Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Pettit, Lane and Lowstuter. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that Virginia Sensky be appointed Clerk in the Registration Office for the year 1949, retroactive to February 1, 1949, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1950, with the proviso that 4 she may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice. h Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the following named persons be employed in the Office of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes for the year 1949, retroactive to February 1, 1949, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1950, with the proviso that each may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice: Mary Burkus Rosetta Radio Florence Wrenshall Helen Babish Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lane, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the following named persons be employed in the Tax Claim Bureau for the year 1949, retroactive to February 1, 1949, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1950, with the proviso that each may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice: Mary Borhujak Sadie Grilus Mary Kostiou Alice Greco Margaret Prebeg Lois McVehil Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the following plan for Sick Leave and x Vacations be adopted for all Employees in all Offices -of Washington County: SICK LEAVE: (1) Each employee will be allowed 2j days per month for sick leave, or 30 days a year. (2) To be allowed the Sick Benefit Leave, employees must present a Doctor's Certificate, after three days illness if illness is continuous. (3) Sick Leave may be accumulated up to 60 days. VACATIONS: (1) Each employee will be allowed one day per month for his vacation allowance. (2) A maximum of 12 work days per year will be allowed each employee for his vacation period. (3) Saturdays will be considered as a full work day. (4) Accumulation of vacation time running into another year will not be permitted unless approved by special action by the Board of Commissioners of Washington County. 1 1
