Motion duly made and seconded that Eugene Yanacci be employed as a Semi-Skilled
Laborer in the Bridge Department.

appropriation of $250.00 for the year 1949:

Motion duly made and seconded that the Washington County Tax Claim Bureau and

1 the County Treasurer be authorized to accept delinquent taxes without penalty and interest for

the years 1946 and 1947 against property in Independence Township owned by the Castle Shannon `
Coal Corporation but erroneously assessed to the Youghiogheny & Pittsburgh Coal Company for E
the said years, such action to abate the penalty and interest being taken in cooperation with
the Township Supervisors and School District of Independence Township, the respective authori-
ties having submitted their Resolutions approving the abatement of the said penalties and f
interest.

Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision [
of Taxes be authorized to prepare refund vouchers in the total amount of $8.97, in favor of
Willard and Arizona Crouse, West Pike Run Township, representing befund of 1947 County Tax,
paid June 13, 1947, at discount, and 1948 County Tax, paid September 29, 1948, at penalty, on
a �
2 sty. frame house and lot in the said township, assessed in the names of the said Willard !
and Arizona Crouse for the said years in duplication with the assessment on the subject prop-
erty carried in the name of the Pittsburgh Coal Company from whom the property was being
purchased under Article of Agreement and properly assessed to the said Pittsburgh Coal Company

in lieu of the passing of the deed to the purchasers, Willard and Arizona Crouse, upon

completion of the payments under the terms of the said Article of Agreement.

Motion duly made and seconded that the Board for the Assessment and Revision of
Taxes be authorized to prepare voucher for refund in favor of Laura J. Day Estate, c/o James

P. Day, R. D. ,#1, Amity, Pa., in the amount of 49.15, covering 1942 County Tax paid under date
Of November 3, 1948, on real estate assessed in the name of the said Estate in Amwell Township,
the said County Tax being a duplicate payment of that paid under date of April 20, 1948, on
the same property.
